This policy explains what information the mobile game Snakes Go! (Android package
com.snakesgo.game, "the game") uses, why, and the choices you have.
In short: the game itself does not collect or send any personal information. It shows ads from Google AdMob, and Google collects some information to deliver and measure those ads.
1. Information the game keeps on your device
The game saves your progress (levels, stars, eggs, snakes collected, hints) and your settings (sound, music, vibration, look and accessibility options) in a file on your device.
- This file never leaves your device. We have no servers and don't receive a copy.
- We don't ask for your name, email, contacts, photos, precise location or any account.
- Uninstalling the game, or clearing its data in Android Settings, deletes this file permanently.
2. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The game is free and paid for by ads, served by Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC (Google Ireland Limited in the EEA and UK). There are two kinds:
- Rewarded ads. These only play when you choose to watch one, for example to get an extra heart, extra time, a hint, an undo, or to hatch an egg early.
- Interstitial ads. A full-screen ad that sometimes appears between levels: at most once every three levels you complete, and never before level 15.
To show these ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK built into the game may collect and send to Google:
| Information | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Advertising ID (a resettable ID for your device) | Showing ads, limiting how often you see the same ad, measuring ads, and (if you allow it) personalised ads |
| IP address, which Google may use to estimate your approximate location (country or city) | Showing ads that fit your region and following local law |
| Device and app information (device model, operating system version, language, app version, network type) | Showing ads that work on your device, and diagnostics |
| Ad interactions (whether an ad was shown, watched or tapped) | Measuring ads, rewarding you for rewarded ads, and preventing fraud |
| Crash and performance data from the ads SDK | Diagnostics and fixing problems |
Google handles this data under its own policies:
- How Google uses information from apps that use its services
- Google Privacy Policy
- Data the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects
We don't sell your information, and we don't get any information from Google that identifies you personally. We only see totals, such as how many ads were shown.
3. Your choices
- Consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland). If you are in these regions, the game asks for your consent before Google uses your data for personalised ads. It uses Google's consent tool, which is certified under the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework. You can change your choice any time in Settings → Privacy → Privacy choices.
- US state privacy laws. Where your state's law requires it, you can opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your information for targeted advertising using the same consent tool.
- Personalised ads, anywhere. On Android, go to Settings → Privacy → Ads (or Settings → Google → Ads) and delete or reset your advertising ID. You'll still see ads, but they won't be based on your interests.
- Stop all data collection by the game. Uninstall it.
4. Permissions the game uses
| Android permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Internet, network state | To load ads |
Advertising ID (AD_ID) | Used by the Google Mobile Ads SDK as described in section 2 |
| Vibrate | Haptic feedback, which you can turn off in the game's settings |
| Wake lock, foreground service, basic phone state | Added by Google's ads and Android libraries for loading ads and running background tasks. The game doesn't use them to read your calls, phone number or contacts |
5. Children
Snakes Go! isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. The game doesn't collect personal information itself (section 1). Ads are limited to content rated suitable for general audiences. If you believe a child has given personal information through the game, contact us and we will help you reach Google to have it removed.
6. In-app purchases
If the game offers a purchase in future (for example, to remove interstitial ads), payment is handled entirely by Google Play. We never see your payment details. Google Play only tells the game that the purchase was made.
7. Security and retention
The game doesn't send data to us, so we don't store any. Data collected by Google is kept and secured under Google's policies linked above. Data saved on your device stays there until you clear the game's data or uninstall it.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, or the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or move your personal data, and to object to or limit how it's used. The game doesn't hold your personal data, so for data Google collects through ads, use the choices in section 3 or Google's tools at myaccount.google.com. You can also contact us and we'll help.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above and publish the new version at the same address. Significant changes will also be noted in the game's release notes.
